Pressure Die Casting

Essai's Pressure Die Casting Service

Die casting is the ideal method for producing a large number of metal parts with excellent surface finish anddimensional stability.

Essai's die-casting equipment has the ability to process internal molds and can produce molds with a weight of 2.5KGsand a size of up to 500x500x250mm. Our 10 sets die-casting machines with clamping forces ranging from 80T to 630T. The commonly used casting materials are aluminum (usually ADC10 / 12 and A380) and zinc (3 #/5 #). Castingscan also be extensively secondary machined in Essai's own processing facilities, as well as various cosmetic processesincuding powder coating, spray coating, anodizing, polishing, and electroplating.

Zinc alloy die casting is a kind of precision casting method, which uses high pressure to force metal melting pressure into the metal mold with complex shape.

What Are the Steps in Pressure Die Casting?

Essai provides the pressure die casting service, a precise and efficient manufacturing process widely used in various industries.

1. Mold Design and Creation: The first step in pressure die casting is the design and creation of the mold or die. This mold is responsible for producing the desired shape and fine details of the metal part.

2. Preparation and Heating of the Metal: The next step involves preparing the metal, usually in the form of ingots or pellets, and heating it to its molten state. The metal is typically heated to a temperature that allows it to flow easily into the mold.

3. Clamping the Mold: Once the mold is ready, it is securely clamped in place in the die-casting machine. This ensures that the mold holds its shape and can withstand the high pressure that will be applied during the casting process.

4. Injection of the Molten Metal: In this step, the molten metal is injected into the mold under high pressure. The pressure helps to fill the mold completely and ensures that the metal reaches all the intricate details of the mold.

5. Cooling and Solidification: After the molten metal is injected into the mold, it is left to cool and solidify. This allows the metal to take the shape of the mold and harden into the desired part.

6. Ejection of the Cast Part: Once the metal has solidified, the mold is opened, and the cast part is ejected from the mold. This is achieved using ejector pins or other mechanisms built into the die-casting machine.

7. Trimming and Cleaning: The cast part is then trimmed and cleaned to remove any excess material or imperfections. This ensures that the part meets the required specifications and is ready for further processing.

8. Secondary Operations: Depending on the specific requirements of the part, additional operations such as machining, surface finishing, or assembly may be performed to achieve the desired final product.

9. Quality Control: Throughout the entire die-casting process, multiple quality control checks are conducted to ensure that the finished parts meet the required standards. This may involve dimensional measurements, visual inspections, or other testing methods. Pressure die casting is known for its ability to produce large volumes of metal parts with excellent dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Due to these advantages, it is widely favored in industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and consumer goods.
