PROJECT –The project involved fabricating low-volume tooling and delivering 50 overmold parts to our client for testing purposes. We needed to use the same material that will be used in the eventual high-volume production tooling.
ISSUE – we faced a significant challenge due to the very short timeline of just two weeks to complete the entire process. Our goal was to fabricate 5 tools, run the necessary parts, and ship them to the customers within this limited timeframe.
SOLUTION – we implemented tight timeline management and ensured detailed communication with all stakeholders involved. We understood the importance of minimizing any potential delays and made every effort to ensure no time was lost throughout the process.
RESULT – we were able to deliver the parts to the client within 12 days of them giving us the green light for the project. Not only did we meet the deadline, but we also achieved a level of part quality that exceeded their expectations.

This project was the true definition of a rapid tooling project. Timeline below:
RFQ – Essai receives an RFQ for 5 tools and parts. Upon reviewing the requirements, we suggested making adjustments to the radius and injection mold points, which were subsequently accepted by customers – 1 Day.
DAY 1 – with the confirmation of drawings and the initiation of mold fabrication
DAY 12 – we successfully ran test parts and promptly shipped them to customers
Day 14 – Customers receive the parts
